Colin powell is well known for his many leadership positions within the u.s. his greatest achievements was becoming secretary of state. Prior to this he showed great leadership as chairman of the jo9nt chiefs of staff. Also he was the national security adviser. In his role as chairmean he played a major part in the problems between the u.s and panama. Because of a call to war by Panamanian leader Noriega powell planned and invasion on panama called operation just cause. His plan succeeded and they caught Noriega, he won the countries admiration. He was also famous for his work in operation desert shield and destert storm. After Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait because he thought that they were taking away from his oil profit, Powell had to step in, in fear that he may invade more countries and be the sole regulator of the worlds oil supply.
